Spell of the Highlander - Karen Marie Moning Cian MacKelter – the untamed Highlander – has been trapped inside the Dark Glass, an Unseelie artifact that is prized by many, for thousands of years. Living endless days in a stone wall environment, Cian tries to keep his grip on his sanity.

But when Jessica St. James, a young woman studying archaeology stumbles upon the Dark Glass by accident and catches his presence in the mirror, Cian feels like he’s lost more than his sanity.
He’s lost his head. His control. And possibly his heart.

Moning does it again with Spell of the Highlander! Weaving together heart, heat and a little humor, she comes up with the perfect trifecta to win me over!

While the Fae don’t have that much influence on this book until the very end, the Druids aspect is very prominent. Not normally a Fae person, I found that this is the only series that has captured my attention. No other series really matches the quality of writing that Moning has with this hit.
Also, with the presence of the MacKelter brothers and their wives again, I found myself smiling like a fool whenever Daegus made an appearance. It seems that I may have developed a little-OK, huge- crush on the former heartbreaker.

Having finished the series, I’m hoping that Moning returns to this world, merging the fantastical and the historical together to make a combo that readers can’t help but resist.
