Bloodfever - Karen Marie Moning I’m not usually into the Fae thing. I’m more drawn to vampires or angels and demons. But for some reason, I find the Fever series so damn addicting! It has everything you want in a UF!

In Bloodfever, Mac is still on the hunt for revenge. She is such a tough girl and can fight her own battles most of the time. But there are times when things get too dangerous for her and she needs further assistance. She’s far from perfect and though she’s got her kickass side, she shows her vulnerabilities as well. I love that about her. Mac is probably one of the most entertaining narrators I’ve read in UF. She’s smart and downright hilarious! Moning does a great job in distinguishing Mac from other UF heroines.

And Barrons. Mmm, my man Barrons. I just can’t get enough of this guy! He’s that kind of guy who you desperately want to know more about. He keeps himself so locked up and secretive that you’re dying to know more. And when you do learn something, sometimes it isn’t the whole truth. It’s so frustrating!

Together, him and Mac are explosive! I love the love/hate relationship between them. My favourite parts are when Mac can actually get an emotion from him. Whether it be a single laugh, or a wolfy smile, or even an angry “Bloody!”, it’s all good to me. Seems to me that Mac has got a tighter hold on him than he thinks.

And Prince V’lane, the death-by-sex fae, is another one I’m fascinated with. There’s definitely something in store for him later. Just wondering if he’ll ease up on the seduction thing. Kinda creepy, huh? But he’s got a good side to him too. He’s protecting Mac just as well as Barrons is. So the girl can’t complain when she’s got two interesting (and hot) guys looking out for her.

Moning does an amazing job with the world building in this series. I was blown away by her ability to dish up sexual tension and danger equally in this edge-of-your-seat thriller. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Faefever!

Favourite Quote:
"I'm the owner of this bookstore. Why?"
I jerked, stifling a gasp. Sneaky man. He was standing right behind us, the epitome of stillness, one hand on the back of a sofa, dark hair slicked back from his face, his expression arrogant and cold. No surprise there. Barrons is arrogant and cold. He's also wealthy, strong, brillant, and a walking enigma. Most women seem to find him drop-dead sexy, too. Thankfully I'm not most women. I don't get off on danger. I get off on a man with strong moral fiber. The closest Barrons ever gets to fiber is walking down the cereal aisle at the grocery store.
